Magnolia Vine (Schisandra chinensis)

Deciduous woody vine from Northern China, Korea and Russian Far-East. Clibs by twisting around supports up to 9m in height.

Fragrant white flowers in May or June, large clusters of red berries on autumn. The berries have unique sour taste and are very rich in vitamins.

Roots and stems have strong lemon flavour.

The original magnolia vine is dioecious, our variety is self-fertile.

The strong stems can suffocate young trees and thus it has to be monitored and pruned if necessary.
