White campion (Silene latifolia) seeds

White campion annual, biennial or short-living perennial from the family caryophyllaceae. The white flowers are up to 3 cm in diameter. Blooms from the June to August. Plants are up to 80 cm tall.

The plant is dioecious, male flowers have slim calyx, female ones distinctive vase-shaped inflated one.

Although short-lived it propagates readily from seeds and is a characteristic species for meadows. Prefers fertile soil and full sun.
