Globeflower grows naturally on moist meadows. It prefers slightly damp fertile soil. If flowers are removed after wilting, it can bloom a second time in August.
Seeds should be sown onto the soil surface. The tray should be covered with plastic to keep moisture. Seeds germinate slowly and unevenly (from one month to one year). It is recommended to stratify seeds 1-2 months in refrigerator (+4C) in the moist substrate but even thus prepared seeds germinate slowly. Seedlings should be transferred to separate pots once they have two or three leaves.
