Amur maple (Acer ginnala)

Small tree (up to 10m) or tall bush from Eastern Asia (Korea, Mongolia, Russia). It is the most cold-tolerant maple, hardy to zone 2. Light green leaves have lobes of variable depth.

Amur maple is loved ornamental plant because of bright red autumn color.

Prefers sun but tolerates half-shade. Autumn color is the brightest if grown in full sun in dry soil.

Flowers are green an bloom in spring.
