Yellow birch is native to North-America. It’s name refers to the color of bark, that varies from light brown to bronze. It is medium-sized tree, up to 25 meters tall. The wood of yellow birch is hard and dense and is widely used in carpentry.
The leaves are bright green, resembling beech leaves. In autumn they torn bright yellow.
Yellow birch is completely frost hardy in Estonia.
