American mountain ash (Sorbus americana)

American mountain ash resembles European ash tree (S. Aucuparia) but the leaves are brighter green and the foliage more compact. In native habitat grows up to 13 meters tall, in Estonia is more commonly tall bush. Like other ash-trees the foliage turns orange-red in autumn.

The “berries” are smaller than those of European ash. The native species has bright red berries, but we sell yellow variety.

Tolerates most soils that are not too wet.
