Climbing hydrangea (Hydrangea petiolaris)

Beautiful climber from hydrangea family. Attaches to support with small aerial roots and can thus climb even on smooth surfaces. Foliage is shiny and intense green. Height up to 10m. White flowers appear in June-July on branches that are open to sun.

Natively grows in deciduous forests of Korea, Japan and Russian far-east.

Young plants grow slowly, later the growth accelerates.

Suitable for covering walls (may need constant pruning) and trunks of large trees.
